I've alive! Feelings are boring, Brooklyn is awesome!

Here's a rough mix I put together that I'm going to finalize some time in the next week (hopefully). The end kinda trails off a bit as the Markers Mark started to sneak up on me!

FUCK CT I'M MOVING TO BROOKLYN FOR REALS.

God damn that was a painful month.

Its a nice 2BR apartment in a small complex located on clermont. Now I get to find a roommate to take the 2nd bedroom, its gonna me on the lease so its up to me if I want to sublease or just add them to the lease (think the later would be best, but I guess it just depends). And they could give a shit if I have a dog!

I'll be there this Friday through Weds. Its both Chris Patton's going away party (he's moving to SF to work at a friend's startup) and my friend Susanne's birthday. Hence you'll find me deejaying a house party at my old place in Grant Park on Friday night.

Please come, get drunk, and gimme a hug.

The Exit

I think I may have to give up Exit (my dog) = [

Its always been the most adorable dog, but has always had a wild/crazy side to him. Since moving to CT its only seemed to have gotten worse. The landlords here think he's this huge ferocious monster based on the fact that he doesn't get along with the 2 workers at the barn here. He's non-seriously bite them both, but at the same time they've made no effort to be nice to him, one apparently has gone so far as to hit him with in the face with a torque wrench and the other now throws stones and rocks at him if he gets loose and they expect that to help? Just today my brother lets him run loose by accident and he's out there just running around with our 2 other dogs. The landlord's dog is there and they're all playing fine, but I'm still getting bitched at my his wife since she's "scared to death of that monster" even though he's exhibited nothing towards her and the other person with her (who watched matt this week the night I was in NYC) experienced his good side and she saw how cute he his most of the time.

Well they're just playing and then our little puppy (who's now like 40 lbs so isn't so little) comes barreling into Exit, who gets knocked into my landlords dog, who in turn doesn't like that and snaps at Exit, thereby causing a little dog skirmish. Nothing happens; I break it up, its all fine I get an earful while I was trying to calmly explain that Exit was the one that just got snapped it and of course that's not the base because he's a "terror". Well a little while ago I get a call from my mom's landlord saying the dogs gotta go after "almost killing my dog today". I tell him that's a little extreme and Exit wasn't even the aggressor, but he didn't care citing the aforementioned stuff and said that they all now think he could attack them at any time.

I could hasten my move to NYC (which I'd rather not do since I'm now owed like 2k by my mom since she's been financially struggling with a foreclosure and starting her own business), but i just don't see that solving the situation. It will only put him in smaller quarters and around more people he's likely to perceive as "not supposed to be there", which seems to be his major issue.

So me and my mom are going to explore some options this weekend. Obviously we can't compromise her living situation because of him, and with my living situation in flux for a bit I was planning on keeping him hear for a bit, but that's not an option. This is honestly hitting my kinda hard, he's been my stay-at-home companion for about 2 years now, and I don't really think I can keep him at all.

Anyone ever have to deal with something like this before?

My second MacBook Pro?

Toast.

Sending it back and waiting on the diagnosis. Went out and bought a desktop today so I would have something to work off of for the next 2 weeks.

I can get by for work I guess (though out some cash and I think I need to get a better graphics card before my eyes asplode) but I'm kinda screwed for my next few deejay gigs. I've been offered use of a laptop for NOPHEST (scroll down, you'll see I'm one of the headliners for saturday night ^.^ ) which is a life saver, but my URBAN gig is still up in the air as is possibly another yet-to-be-offered-but-was-implied gig.

I'm going to call this the Choyce Touch, where everything I touch turns to asplode.

I must done something absolutely heinous in a past life.

I found this unexpectedly funny

So Steven Jackson (St. Louis Ram's Running back) writes a weekly column for ESPN which, surprisingly, its pretty well articulated and well written. This comes from this week and I'm sure the Vegas kids will agree:

Think about it like this: what do you go to Vegas for? Conventions, weddings, boxing matches, shopping, spa weekends for the girls & pretty much everything and anything you can think of. Do you realize Celine Dion sells out her show every night? You could probably put a guy with an accordion, a harmonica, and cymbals who plays nothing but "Livin' on a Prayer" over and over again on stage out here, with clips of the most boring movie in the world playing behind him, and it would be filled to capacity. So why wouldn't you throw a pro team in an arena that the taxpayers (myself included -- I live there and I'm loving this) didn't even have to pay for? We locals are always looking for something to do, and adding 30-40 live professional games per year would be welcomed with open arms. Trust me, leagues! Vegas will be a move you won't regret. Plus, you can get Cirque de Soleil to perform at halftime. -- http://sports.espn.go.com/fantasy/football/ffl/story?id=3100294

Anyway.. back to work. Such is my life.

lol..

Looks like I'm starting to plan a move back north after the new year. After being down here almost 10 years I'd like to spend at least 1 New Years here with friends.

From there I'm going to spend a month or two in CT with my mom and brother at their new place, get out of debt, and then look to either NYC or Boston for an apartment. Obviously NYC takes the lead for me, but I figure I might as well explore Boston since I haven't really been there since Middle School and everyone I know that has or is living there loves it.

Now to get back to work and get some shit done.
